Maps

Overview

The Maps section allows users to configure interactive resort maps that are displayed in the VisitSun mobile app under the Destination → Maps tab. Through this feature, guests can view an interactive map of their current booking resort and explore points of interest such as hotels, attractions, meeting points, or local landmarks.

Maps are configured and managed from Tourpaq Office → Guest App → Maps by users with Guide or Admin access.

Purpose

The purpose of the Maps module is to:

• Provide guests with a visual overview of their resort location.

• Highlight important or recommended points of interest within and around the resort.

• Enhance guest experience through easy navigation and localized information.

• Allow guides and admins to manage map content directly from Tourpaq Office.

How to Use

Accessing the Maps Section

1. In Tourpaq Office, navigate to Guest App → Maps.

2. The list view will display all maps configured for different resorts.

   

Column	Description
Name	The name of the map (e.g., Barcelona, Test Map). Clicking the name opens the map editor.
Agency	The agency associated with the map.
Resorts	The resorts linked to this map. A single map can cover one or multiple resorts.
Delete	Use the trash icon to permanently remove a map.

A Create button is available in the top-right corner to add new maps.

Creating or Editing a Map

1. Click Create to define a new map or select an existing one from the list.

   
2. In the map editor:

   • Click on the map to drop a point of interest (POI).

   • Fill in the Location Details the descripson.

   • Optionally, upload images related to that location to make it more informative.

   
3. Assign the map to one or more resorts to ensure it is displayed to guests staying in those resorts.

4. Click Save to confirm the setup.

Guest App Display

In the VisitSun mobile app, guests can access the configured map under:

Destination → Maps

Depending on the configuration:

• Only the map for the current booking’s resort will be displayed.

• Guests can interact with the map to view the points of interest defined in Tourpaq Office.

• Each POI can display a title, description, and photo.
