Custom Choices

Overview

The Custom Choices page defines additional selectable attributes that can be used across the system for Extras (optional services, products, or add-ons) or Hotel Facilities. These attributes allow the user to add new Data types if the default ones are not up to the requirements of the users.

Purpose

Custom Choices enhance flexibility by letting each agency define its own configurable options for Extras and Hotel Facilities without needing hardcoded fields in the system.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Extras Attributes	Displays all custom attributes linked to Extras. Each attribute can include one or more predefined values (choices). Example: Color → Red, Blue, Green.
Hotel Facilities	Lists custom attributes defined for Hotel Facilities. These may include amenities or features that vary between hotels (e.g., “Pool Type” or “Room View”).

Fields

Field / Element	Description
Name	The name of the attribute. It defines the category of choice that will be available for selection in the Extras or Hotel Facilities setup. Example: Color or Weight.
No. of Choices	The number of available options under the attribute. For example, “Color” with 3 choices might include Red, Blue, and Green.
Delete icon (🗑️)	Deletes the entire attribute and its associated choices. A confirmation message appears before the deletion is completed.
Create (top-right button)	Opens the form to create a new attribute and define its available choices.

How to Create a New Attribute

1. Go to: Extras → Custom Choices → Extras Attributes

2. Click the Create button in the top-right corner.

3. Enter the Attribute Name

   • Example: Color, Size, Weight, Type.

   • This name will appear as a selectable property when defining Extras or Facilities.

4. Add the Options

   • Specify each value that users can select from.

   • Example for Color: Red, Blue, Green.

   • Example for Weight: 10 kg, 20 kg, 30 kg.

5. Save the attribute. It will now appear in the list, showing the number of defined choices.

6. (Optional) Edit or Delete an attribute

   • Click on the name of the custom choice to modify existing choices.

   • Use the trash icon (🗑️) to remove it entirely.
